NATIVE HAWAIIAN DESIGN

The Moku (island) Camo design features a camouflage pattern that uses each of the moku of the Hawaiian island chain (pae ʻāina). If you look closely at the pattern, you'll notice each of the eight major Hawaiian islands. The eight major islands of Hawaiʻi include Hawaiʻi, Maui, Kahoʻolawe, Lānaʻi, Molokaʻi, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi and Niʻihau. These islands represent the homeland or kulāiwi of the Kānaka Maoli (indigenous Hawaiians), and the source of their rich history and culture.

This specific pattern uses the panoa or desert color scheme. This color arrangement blends in best with the arid, dry environments with an abundance of dirt, stone, sand and heat.
